Viking DataForge™ (“Viking DataForge,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the VDF Mileage Log mobile application (“VDF Mileage Log” or the “App”) handles information.

VDF Mileage Log is designed as a locally stored mileage-recording application. The App does not require an online account and does not send mileage records or other App data to Viking DataForge servers.

1. Information Entered Into the App

Users may voluntarily enter and store information such as:

• User or preparer name
• Vehicle names and vehicle details
• Account or customer names
• Mileage reimbursement rates
• Trip dates
• Starting and ending odometer readings
• Destinations, route stops, and trip descriptions
• Mileage totals and reimbursement amounts

This information is entered by the user and is used only to provide the App’s mileage tracking, reporting, backup, restore, and reimbursement-calculation features.

2. Local Data Storage

Information entered into VDF Mileage Log is stored locally on the user’s device.

Viking DataForge does not operate a cloud account or online database for VDF Mileage Log and does not receive, view, or store the user’s mileage records through the App.

The App does not require users to create an account, sign in, or provide information directly to Viking DataForge in order to use its mileage-recording features.

3. Location Information

VDF Mileage Log does not automatically track the user’s geographic location and does not collect GPS or precise-location data.

Destinations and route stops are entered manually by the user.

4. Reports, Email, Sharing, and Backups

VDF Mileage Log allows users to create reports, export PDF files, create backup files, restore backup files, and share reports through applications or services selected by the user.

Information leaves the App only when the user deliberately chooses to export, save, back up, restore, email, or share it.

When a user shares a report or file through an email provider, cloud-storage provider, messaging application, file manager, or another third-party service, that service may process the information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

Viking DataForge does not control how third-party applications or services selected by the user handle shared files or information.

5. Data Collection by Viking DataForge

VDF Mileage Log does not:

• Sell personal information
• Rent or trade personal information
• Display third-party advertising
• Use user information for targeted advertising
• Collect mileage records for marketing purposes
• Upload mileage records to Viking DataForge servers
• Track users across other applications or websites

The App does not include a Viking DataForge analytics or advertising system designed to collect personally identifiable usage data.

6. Google Play and Device Services

Downloading, purchasing, installing, updating, or using the App through Google Play or an Android device may involve information processed independently by Google, the device manufacturer, the operating system, or other service providers.

Such information may include purchase records, device information, diagnostic information, crash information, or store activity handled by those providers under their own privacy policies.

Viking DataForge does not control information collected independently by Google Play, Android, device manufacturers, email providers, cloud-storage providers, or other third-party services.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Information entered into VDF Mileage Log remains on the user’s device until the user:

• Deletes individual records within the App
• Clears the App’s stored data through Android settings
• Restores or replaces the App’s stored data
• Uninstalls the App
• Deletes exported reports or backup files from their chosen storage location

Because Viking DataForge does not receive or store the App’s locally maintained mileage data, Viking DataForge does not possess a server-side copy to delete.

Exported PDF reports, email attachments, and backup files remain under the user’s control and must be deleted from the device, email account, cloud-storage service, or other destination where the user placed them.

8. Data Security

VDF Mileage Log relies on Android’s application-storage protections and the security controls of the user’s device.

Users are responsible for protecting access to their device, exported reports, backup files, email accounts, and any third-party storage locations they use.

No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid sharing reports or backup files with unauthorized recipients and should use appropriate device passwords, screen locks, and account security.

9. Children’s Privacy

VDF Mileage Log is a general-purpose business and personal mileage-recording tool and is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

Viking DataForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Viking DataForge may update this Privacy Policy when App features, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after an update indicates acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
